 PLACIDO Domingo's magnificent voice enthrals yet again in this powerful selection of tunes. The great man delivers all 19 songs with gusto and he really makes you appreciate his sensuous tenor. In Moments of Passion, Domingo performs works by Mozart, Puccini and Verdi as well as a couple of pieces from La Boheme and Aida. For a taste of magic he casts on modern pieces, there's the song Domingo sang at the final of the recent FIFA World Cup. Domingo's duet with the late John Denver can also be found here. Perhaps Love is a sweet love song that was not expected to be a success, but overcame the odds. It's not hard to understand why this man is such a legend. He certainly does have a knack for delivering songs with power and emotion. If you're a fan of well-produced, exquisitely sung romantic music, this CD deserves a place in your collection. |
